Their project, SPiRE: A Smart Phone App for Managing Adolescent Asthma, was one of three finalists in the 2019 HL7 FHIR Dev Days Student Track Competition.
"We received great feedback from FHIR experts from Microsoft, Apple, and many other great companies who saw our presentations. We were so excited to be surrounded by and learn from so many great institutional leaders in informatics, development, and mHealth," said Allison Young, who traveled to Redmond, Washington with her team to present their iOS app aimed at helping teenagers manage their asthma.
