World Cup Matches Coming to SSRI

Thursday, June 7, 2018

FIF World Cup Official Ball It only happens every four years: World Cup fever is upon us! The Social Science Research Institute is excited to share all the matches with you on the big screen in the Connection on the 2nd floor of Gross Hall.

While the United States men’s team has missed out on the 2018 FIFA World Cup, there are still many reasons to join us and cheer on any one of the 32 teams that qualified.

The opening match will feature Saudi Arabia v. Russia on June 14th at 11:00 a.m., followed by weekday group stage matches at 8:00 a.m., 11:00 am, and 2:00 p.m. from June 15th to 28th.

Knockout stage games will also be shown.

As SSRI is committed to bringing together researchers to work on important social problems and catalyzing pioneering social science research and methods, we’re inviting faculty, staff, and students from any discipline to give a five-minute halftime presentation.
