A newbie to Duke, Becky worked at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore for one PI in the department of Neurology. She was his administrative manager and ran large international clinical trials on stroke and some smaller trials on preventing secondary strokes. The position allowed her to go to Brazil to open nine sites for their CLEAR III Trial.
Becky moved to North Carolina two years ago and started at Duke in Central Finance in the Office of Sponsored Programs where she was a liaison and SSRI was one of the departments she managed. She got to know the staff at SSRI and is now thrilled to be part of their team.
An avid gardener, Becky gathers flowers for her home all year long and enjoys the peaceful nature of working outdoors. She had large perennial gardens in Baltimore and had a constant battle with the deer that loved to munch all day long. She now lives in a neighborhood where she has yet to see a deer!
Want to know a little about Becky's personal life? Well, she has two sons—one of them a Fuqua graduate. She was born in Vermont and has lived in 14 states on the east coast. She absolutely loves Vermont where she summered on a lake most of her life.
If you don't see Becky in her office then you can find the avid walker power walking on campus, rain or shine.
