Featured Guest Speaker: Dr. Lawrence Greenblatt
We are excited to welcome Dr. Lawrence Greenblatt, State Health Director and Chief Medical Officer for the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, as our guest speaker for this session.
Dr. Greenblatt brings more than 30 years of experience as a physician, educator, and public health leader, including longstanding ties to Duke University Health System. He is widely recognized for his leadership in Medicaid policy, behavioral health integration, and efforts to expand access to mental health and substance use services—particularly for medically and socially complex populations. His work has played a significant role in advancing health equity and strengthening care delivery systems across North Carolina, including in rural communities.
The session will include time for discussion and questions, and we look forward to a thoughtful and engaging conversation.
Who Should Attend
The Community of Practice is open to anyone at Duke with an interest in rural health. By attending the meeting, participants also join the Rural Health Equity Hub’s Community of Practice and become part of an interdisciplinary network focused on collaboration, learning, and impact.
We hope you will join us at the updated time and encourage colleagues with relevant interests to attend. Please reach out with any questions, and thank you for your continued engagement with the Rural Health Equity Hub.
