How do social science researchers fit into Nature journals? In this talk, Sebastián Villamizar Santamaría will demystify the process of publishing social science research with the Nature Portfolio. He will discuss the scope of social sciences content at Nature, the types of articles these journals accept, and what authors can expect during the submission and review process.
Sebastián is a social scientist, editor, and translator with experience across a wide range of research methods, including surveys, modeling, interviews, and ethnography. He has worked extensively on communicating technical findings to diverse audiences and has collaborated with human rights organizations on editing, copyediting, translation, and data visualization. Sebastián is currently an Associate Editor at Nature, where he handles and helps expand the journal’s broader social sciences content.
